Hello. I have a multi level auto attendant built in embedded voicemail. It is setup with an option to dial by extension using a "transfer only" mailbox. It works fine as long as you do not delay dialing the extension. If you delay by waiting until after the greeting plays it will fail most every time. I have figured out that it is somewhat of a timeout as the system is sending you back to the main auto attendant as if it is a no response. Any idea as to how to adjust the timer to allow the caller more time to dial an extension? Some systems used to allow you to insert a moment of silence? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

There are two timers you can look at in teh COS of the voicemail and the extension.

First Digit timer:This timer defines the length of time the system waits for the first dialed digit on off-hook before presenting the station with reorder tone.

Inter digit timer:This timer defines the length of time the system waits between dialed digits before presenting the station with reorder tone.

Neither timer mentioned above applies.

Simplest solution is to simply record silence at the end of the greeting (As part of the greeting)

I do not know of any way to modify the wait time between the end of the greeting and the default action in the voicemail.

Thank you. I did pause several times and repeat the greeting to allow enough time for the end user to dial. Thanks again!
