Hi all,

I ahve been looking through some document's, and can't find what i am after, i would like to find a flow chart/picture of the process a Mitel goes through when it receives digits on a trunk link, ie; it's means of processing them.

is it a speed call
is it a station
is it a hunt group
is it a acd path, so on and so on.

Thanks in advance.

Please provide system type. Software Revs

Assuming 3300 (most common)

On a 3300, the system does not designate number ranges as specific call types. Any number can be anything, Speedcall, Station, huntgroup, acd path and so on.

What form the DN is programmed in determines function.

This being said:

Digits received on PRI
Digits absorbed via Trunk Service Assignment (if any)
Digits inserted via Trunk Service Assignment (if any)

The above results in a DN to be processed by the system.

The function of said DN is determined by the form in which it is programmed.

To determine where the dn might be programmed, use the maintenance command Locate Number XXXX

I dont think its looking to see if the destination is a speed call, station, hunt group, or path. As far as the 3300 is concerned when I call comes in over the PRI and the CO is sending 5555. When the 3300 recieves this, it is going to ask do I have a DN that matches 5555. If not Im assuming it is going to look at its ars table for anything matching and if no match is found send reorder tone.

I dont think the system cares whether its a s/c, station, h/g, or acd path because it will not let you duplicate a station extension with a speedcall extension (or with a h/g or acd path extension)

cknipe, thank you that is exactly what i am after.

If there is not an unique match to an existing DN, the system will return error. It does not look at extension first, then ars then whatever. If it finds an unique match it will route according to the digits received. If it does not receive an unique match, then no routing period.
