Mitel cxi and Vmcd voicemail

Hi,
I have one Mitel vmcd and one Mitel 3300 cxi. I would like to use the CXI embedded voice mail for the vmcd.
I'm trunking via xnet and can make calls between the two sites.
I can't call re-route calls on the vmcd to the cxi pilot because its not a really directory number.
I have tried a hunt, and ACD group but can't figure it out. Can someone help please.

Hi

Try entering the ip address of the cxi in the external vm on the vMCD and route HG digits in ARS over IP networking or just point the VMHG on the vMCD to the cxi using the same ARS route you use for the other extensions.

Curious, Why would you want to do this?

The vMCD is capable of embedded mail and the licensing should be transferable as long as both sites have SWA.

The vMCD is much more reliable for data storage than the hard drive on a CXi.

I didn't know that vmcd could do embedded, the Mitel supplier we buy from didn't even offer it.
To be honest the client doesn't want vmail at this stage, but the system I'm installing will be a fly in fly out job in a country that I would prefer to support remotely, which is why I'd rather configure something now before they ask.
The vmail hg number did not work. I can dial the other system and vmail answer, but I still can't call re-route the call to vmail. Any other suggestions.

The latest vMCD can do 8 ports of voicemail and a max of 150 mailboxes ( Eng Guidelines ).

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

If voicemail on the vMCD is not an option then you will have to reroute to a system speed call number that the actual number is the ARS digits matching your voice mail pilot. You can not reroute directly to ARS.
