Mitel Console and with Windows 7 64-bit

Hi

We're swapping over hardware for our mitel console computer. The new computer is windows 7 64bit. I installed the same level of java (v7 update 45) on our working computer. The same mitel version 3.1.1.7, turned the firewall off and ran in compatibility mode to XP but the mitel console program hangs with the mitel splash screen.

Any ideas for a solution or workaround? Thx

Hi,

Have you installed the latest version of the 5550IP console application? This should be version 4.2.2.7
Have you tried to run the application "As administrator" ?

I got this to work easily.

Install ip console to defaults. copy the mitel folder from the "program files (x86") to the "program files" directory. Change the shortcut accordingly. You could also install to any folder other than "program files" and it should work ok.

what's more, this same trick works with any old software. you don't need to upgrade.
