Hi All,

one of my client place have a problem that his PABX is mitel 3300 ICP.iys a hotel industry

one of his vender reset the pabx to factory default with out taking any backup of configuration.

After configure got some problem which are slowly rectfy by the vendor. but the main issue is call transaction.

They have FCS winsuite for call accounting software which is not capturing the call duration but in PABX hyper terminal its showing the Amin & guest
calls duration but not posting in FCS interface.

SMDR is enable in Exter & inter in both services but still same can any one please help me in this issue..

Thanks SD

Just to make sure what I think you're saying: the PBX is configured for SMDR reporting, but the call accounting software is not recieving data, is that correct?

If so, verify the settings on the interface between the 3300 and the call accounting system. You don't specify how the data is being transferred from the 3300 to the call accounting, and there's several ways this can be done.

I should add that while the COS options are enabled, you should still verify that the SMDR records are being generated by the 3300. This can be done by opening a telnet session to port 1752 of the 3300's RTC IP Address (the same IP address you use to connect to the system administration interface). Assuming SMDR is enabled and the SMDR Options programming form is set up correctly, you should see your SMDR records appear here as the calls are terminated.

@Lundah thanks for your early reply

yes you are correct, but i am unable to cofigure can you help me regarding this .

@lundah

i already telnet with ip address & port num its capturing the call transaction
every thing is ok but its not sending to call account so

Ok, so again, what method is the call accounting software using to retrieve the data from the PBX?

You need to verify that and check that connection, since you've already proved that the 3300 is generating the data.

ok i will try once again and get back to you
thank for your kindly suggestion if you get any thing regarding this issue please update me

Thanks a lot once again

Hi every one

i am facing still same problem after checking the connectivity between Pabx & call account software every thing is ok can any one provide me SMRD configuration...

Thanks
sd

Have you got the port set correctly in the FCS software? I assume that you have opened a telnet session to the port and able to collect data to a window and a file? Can you do this from the machine on which the call logging is actually working on? If you can get smdr records in all these scenarios then it must be a problem with the software not the Mitel.

@ Wireman50
yes every thing is configure properly in FCS we didt do any thing in this software but mitel vendor done the R&D in Pabx after that its stop to calls generation we ask to FCS regarding this issue they inform us if you didt do any this in fcs configuration is fine.
after reconfigure in mitel the issue take palce if you have any SMDR option assig configuration please send me i want to recheck the configuration

Thanks for you support

Just to be clear, you can go to the FCS machine and open a raw session (in putty) log on to the mitel using port 1752 and you can see data? and it is up to date? If so then the Mitel is configured. If not go to smdr form and check to see if log incoming/outgoing external calls is set to yes.

@wireman50

as you say i go to FCS machine and open Raw session in putty & port # 1752 its display all the log which is online running, now what i have to do if the problem in FCS do you have any idea about FCS.

can you please guide me regarding this issue i have one issue configure SMDR port where i have to configure.

Thanks
SD
