Hi,
What is the proper way to tell how the Application Connection licenses for the AWV server are showing in the MIVB?
I see in the AMC that they are assigned to my DLM but on the licensing forms on the MIVB, it doesnt seem like they show up.
I have to set them up as Generic SIP devices but they are eating up my user licenses...
I understand that they should be using the 'application connection licenses'. Am I just not setting this up right?
New Mitel tech.

Thanks.

if you purchase a micollab server and its licensing enables you to 10 connection licenses then these will be added to the IP users of the assoicated pabx

recommendation is for you to assign them immediately as generic sip so that the licenses are consumed for AWV ports

otherwixse theycan be used as any old IP user license can

there is nothing that will show you how many were supplied or added to teh mivb

the way i check is to check on the AWV blade under the licensing section

AWV port licenses = connection licenses

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Hi,

Thanks very much for that. I re-calculated the licenses based on your explanation and it all makes sense now.
Thanks very much.

One additional thing if I may...have you had any issues with a DID on a PRI targeting direct to the AWV Hunt Group? I'm just getting an out of service message from the carrier, yet when i target it to an extension, it works fine.
I also tried to target it to the main VM hunt group and i get the same thing, so it seems to be hunt group related. Almost like they cannot take outside calls....any ideas?
