We have a mitel 3300 controller and this morning it just stopped sending or taking calls. we just get a busy signal when calling in and and an "Error" on the phone screens when calling out.

A reset did not fix anything. I have not tried a reboot yet.

here are some logs from the thing:

Any ideas?

thanks, James

Your T1/PRI (connection to the phone co.) is down. in one of the 4 module positions on the front of the system is there a T1 card? the LED should be green my guess it is red try reseting it(unplug and plug back in) then if still red call you provider of the circuit.

Looks like your T1 is out of service. Either the card or the like itself.the channel is not synched. Are the LED's on the card red or flashing yellow by any chance?

Thank you for your speedy replys.
Yes, solid red on the T1 line.
Could you please tell me what you saw in the log that says T1?

Thanks again!

Have you tried to contact telco? They can loop T1 up to the demarc and test. You can also make a loop and plug it into the port, you should get L1 up. Also in the error log you should see records indicating when the line went down.

Yes, i talked with qwest and apparently they had a crew working about 2 buildings down and cut our line.
After 2 hours trying to get a support ticket open, they sent someone out and repaired it.

Thanks for all your comments! Very helpful.
