Hi

I have two Mitel 3300 systems, one using the embeded voicemail and the other using a Nupoint voicemail and both linked. I have users setup with BLF on the 5550 console where the receptionist can see if the person is already on the phone and forward them directly to the voicemail which works perfectly, however I now have calls coming in for people on the 3300 with the Nupoint and want the users setup up the same way. I'm able to have them display in the BLF list of the 5550 console but cannot forward directly to their voicemail or see that they are on the phone. Is there a way I can configure this? Is there another step to get this working because it is a Nupoint voicemail?

Richard

You can set up the BLF on the 5550 for the remote phones but you cannot see that they are on the phone? - Explain Please.

Software versions would help?

What versions and are the MCD's clustered ?

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I'm using MCD 6.03. They are clustered. What happens is when I try to send a call from the console straight to the extensions voicemail I get an out of service. Also when the line is busy I don't have it light up like the local ones saying the user is on the phone.

Thank you.

For a 5550 console to detect a station and allow it to be added to the BLF field, it MUST show busy status.

When you say "I have users setup with BLF on the 5550 console" are you actually using the BLF field or are you in fact using the phonebook field?

When you " try to send a call from the console straight to the extensions voicemail" what exact steps are you using?

Ok so I figured out where I went wrong on both my issues. I added the DSS/Busy Lamp feature on a local dummy phone with the remote extension and it works now. Also found how to transfer to the remote nupoint voicemail. I built up a dummy (phantom) multiline set on the remote 3300 with 66 and the extension (6612345) as a single line and added in the ARS route. I then created a speed call number *12345 to transfer to that single line 6612345 I created on the remote system.

All is working
Thank you.
