Mitel 5304 Backlight Dim or Off

Are we able to dim the backlight of the 5304 using a MITEL AX200 ICP Hotel Phone System? If so, the current firmware doesn't appear to have this as an option (fw 5.xxxx). I saw an earlier post discussing using 4.xx firmware, but would they have removed that feature in later firmware?

Up and down arrows when the set is idle (supposed to work)

There's a known issue with the display on 53XXe phones being too dim. The fix is to upgrade the firmware to 5.0.2.12. What FW is on your system?

Actually, I'm not sure if this applies to 5304s. In my experience, it's only affected 5330e and 5340e. Then again, you should always upgrade your firmware in my opinion.

Up and down arrows are volume on the 5304 when idle....every other phone too, that I'm aware of.
