Mitel 5000 w/8620 Phone

Hi,

I am trying to setup an older 8620 IP phone on a Mitel 5k with 6.0 software. I am only familiar with the Mitel 53xx phone registration process and have never attempted the 8620 phones. Do I need to assign an IP address to the phone during boot up? I do not have DHCP enabled on the 5k.

Yes. Hold the 7 and 8 buttons on the dial pad while booting to get to configuration mode.
