2 questions regarding a MiVoice Office:
1. Is there any way to disable interstation messaging (other than the feature code to turn the light off)?
2. We have changed the dial 8 to dial 9. Is there a way to enable 911 (emergency) in case the customer is panicking and forgets to dial 9 + 911?
Thanks

1. None that I know of.
2. By default 911 is listed as the emergency number feature code. Entering this feature code selects an outgoing trunk and automatically dials the programmed emergency number.

We have programmed for 9+ dialing. If you dial 9+911 the call goes to Emergency Services. If you try and dial 911, the system only sends out 11, as the 9 selects the outgoing trunk. Is there a way for the system to recognize 911 regardless. (On the 200AX, we can do that...can we do something similar here?)

I know I've don this before, but cannot locate the saved DB to refer to. Are you using ARS or direct group access (STN/Assoc Ext/Emergency Ext)? If using ARS you could create a 911 specific route that inserts/adds a "9" in front of the "ECHO local address (11)", but I don not recall having to do that. What about replacing "911" with "9911" in Numbering Plan/Emergency/Emergency Numbers?

As for #1, do you mean removing the ability to leave voicemail for internal calls or removing the callback message feature? If you mean leave voicemail, then you can go into the phone's System Forwarding Path and set Fwd IC Calls to No. Otherwise, I'm not sure of a way to disable callback messages. I'd really like to remove that feature too...can't tell you how many calls I get from people saying "my light's on, but there's no message, and when I press it, it automatically calls so and so". So annoying...

I have dreamed a dream, but now that dream has gone from me.

I believe I remember the instructor saying that is can be done using ARS

I also remember him saying don't use dial 9 because you don't want to have to do this.
