Trying to set this up for weeks.

It works on IPO, 3CX, sip clients softphones. Can trunk SIP between 5000 and IPO.

I can use the trunks to call out, but not to call in. I've tried with single ring-in, routing table with DID and with "+"; always get fast busy. Toyed with different settings (in-bound ID and all). In my training I remember the instructor that a lot of people had problems setting this up. I used the templates to try and compare, don't see anything special.

Is there a trap somewhere??

If you look in the SIP logs do you see an attempted connection?

In your router are there any logs to check to see if the connection is being refused?

Have you tried opening port 5060 on your router and NATing it to your 5000s internal IP address?

I get this from the logs on an incoming call:

And yes, I have forwarded port 5060 to my 5000.

Hi,
What software version are you running, we've got the same problem with some Gamma sip trunks at the moment that Mitel are looking into to. There is a patch for v6.0 for known sip issues v6.0 PR2, you could try that.

Our 5000 is rejecting the inbound calls with 404 but everything looks fine in the header but if we point the sip trunks directly to Mitel's test system they work fine. The only difference is we have Nat on a Draytek router but we've tried a Cisco router and still get the same but Mitel's test system has no NAT.

I'll let you know how we get on

Jules

The most recent (and only) 6.0 version is from June, no PR or SP; it's the one I'm running right now.

We have a Draytek router too, but it works with all other platforms (Vigor 2820)

PR1 was released in August and contained fixes for SIP trunk issues :)

have you tried disabling SIP awarness on the 2820...this has to be done on the command line. SIP ALG is what they call it. Its a bit fiddly to do as well.
