I've been tasked to help a customer with a Mitel 5000. Their previous IT guy decided not to do VLAN's or any type of QoS. Now, about 2 years later, they continue to have trouble with their remote sites.

They are using Zyxel USG-100's and Netgear FS728TPv2 switches at all their remote sites. And a Zyxel USG-200, Netgear FS728TPv2 and Netgear GS724TP at their corporate site.

All the remotes are using a site-to site VPN back to the corporate office.

Currently none of the sites are using VLAN's.

They are all using Comcast Cable Modem service.

All their remote sites have sporadic poor audio quality.

Our intention is to set up VLAN 1 for data and VLAN 2 for Voice at each location. Letting the Zyxel handle all Layer 3 function.

The question I've been presented with is can we set the Zyxel firewalls to act on DSCP/TOS or simply prioritize the voice network?

Also, does anyone have a good running configuration that can be set for the Netgear switches where we can simply set the IP addresses for VLAN 1 for management and go?
