I have a mitel 5000 HX in our lab that we are just starting to test (we have none in the field) it was working a few days ago now when I reboot it it just sits in preboot status any ideas?

Check no one has stolen the Compact Flash card.

If the CF card is definitely installed try booting with no expansion cards installed.

The CF card is in place and I have tried to boot it with and without the card. I also took out the expansion cards with no luck. I show no files on the card. Is it suppose to boot off this card? I did reformat it as well

The compact flash holds the system software and stores your VM recordings, think of it as the Hard Disk for the system.

If you have formatted it I think you may have to get on the phone to your dealer or Mitel and spring for a new one unfortunately!

Dave is correct, your CF is also locked with licensing to a serial number and has all the operating system on there. If you have formatted it you are screwed.
Even if you restore the operating system files you won't be able to license it anyway.

You can't just view the files in windows it is not a NTFS/FAT32/FAT file system.

Thanks guys for the info I won't be doing that again
