ok I have a customer that has 12 copper loop start trunks from the telco:

The 1st 6 lines need to ring the receptionist (Ring receptionist during day. then AA with Directory or dial an ext at night|
M-f 8 to 5 and closed sat, Sun & holidays

The last 6 Lines ring into a back door greeting ( ring direct to AA with directory option, dial someone or transfer to "0" if no response. & at night they here the same greeting but no response goes to "0" mail box

They do want nights to be automatic and the do want special greeting for the holidays automatic... I think I need a STAR??

Im really not sure how to make the Lines ring where they need to go during the day and get night to kick on and play the right greeting and observe holidays when they are available.

I tried to set up a star and play with times on the system but it doesn't seem to ever kick in auto nights.

any direction would be great

Trunk Group Day and Night answer point will be your STAR application number. The default application will be your night mode application. I presume a call-routing announcement. Leave everything else default. I typically use number ten. In application, this will be your day call-routing application. create a call-routing application that has no recording and times out to either the receptionsit extension or hunt group. Flag Specific Time as "Yes", check the days of the week that you wish, and program your time. Lastly, verify the time on the 5000 is correct.
