Mitel 5000 -How to disable MWI but still get messsages

Hello out there!

I need to disable MWI for some extensions. How can I do this ?

I first thought I would change the message notification extension per mailbox to a fictitious one to simply divert the MWI BUT I cannot because they are "associated" mailboxes AND these extensions still need to be able to receive voice mail messages.

In my experience with the original InterTel AXXESS and these Mitel 5000 systems, there is always at least a workaround for most requirements BUT I am not seeing this one...any help is appreciated, thank you.

If you enter On-line Monitor mode you can set the notification phone to None from within the mailbox settings. I have never used this but should acheieve what you require.
