Been scratching my head on this one for a while hoping somone can help:

We have a Mitel 5000 CP unit With an ISDN 30 trunk and a set of sip lines served up via a Cisco Router. We have a set of numbers we would like to assign to some trunk groups so the caller number is shown as a differnt number to our base number.

I have tried a few things but not had much luck i havent had too much experiance with the system myself as i am just picking it up as i go along at the moment.

The desired outcome would be for somone to hit a dial button on the phone (have sorted this part) and ring out as a differnt number of our choosing.

We are running version 3.2.4.59 of the Mitel software i am not sure as to how old this is.

Thanks for any help,

Tom

Each trunk group can overide carrier Caller ID with the "Calling Party Number" in TG programming, if allowed by carrier. Each endpoint also has "Calling Party Number" which will overide trunk group/carrier caller ID, if they want to output their individual DIDs for example. With TDM PRI you can output pretty much any number you want. With SIP and Dynamic IP handoffs, there is more authentication involved which limits your Caller ID output options.
