mitel 5000 and multiteck ff 430 faxfinder

anyone had any luck with installing the fax finder
all goes well except setting up modem ports for with dtmf for multiple users, i do have analog to vmail hunt group active and set up on 5000 rel 5.1, but fail to get digits across to faxserver

I've install multiple FaxFinders, usually with 3300's. I think this is doable though, and I may have done it. Try creating Phantom (Fax) ext's in the 5000 for each fax user; assign those as the extension numbers for the users in the FF; create a new system forwarding path in the 5000 with the FF analog VM HG pilot as "Forwarding Point 1" destination; assign the new SYS FWD path to your Phantoms (set to Immediate); program the users fax DID to Ring In to that users Fax Phantom extension in Call Routing Table (I assume you have a PRI with call routing). You will probably need to configure the FF ports to dial 8 to get outside. You may need to set the analog VM (5000 SL) ports to have extended ring cadence as well for the FF to answer.
