Mitel 5000 and a remote 5340 1

I have a Mitel 5000 version 4.0.3.91 with a public IP address NAT'd to the phone system.

I am able to get in to DB programming remotely and I have a phone set up and it works but its stuck at "applications loading" and the keymap hasn't loaded. if i 396 and review the keys, they are all there, the DID rings in and everything else works but the last piece.

This is set up from my house. not the best but more that enough for a phone:

I want to make sure its up and running before shipping this off to Texas. From what i have read through on this site about the problem on a 3300 it could be a port thats not open. any idea what that port might be?

Try forwarding TCP ports 3998 and 3999

sorry, im having their IT people do this and I am a little green at this side of things.

forward those ports to where?

Forward it from the router at the Office to the Mitel 5000 as with the other port ranges required for remote phones to work
