Have a customer who is already familiar with Mitel phones/product. Hotel needs 880 analog ports, half of which need to support message waiting lights. Looks to me that the MXe cabinet maximum of 7 expansion cabinets kicks this one down. Documents I have read talk about 1152 max tdm devices, but don't see a what to get there due to the cabinet restrictions.

Use expanded Peripheral Nodes: (requires a kit 9400-200-119 NA which is a peripheral interface card, one per cabinet needed + 10' cable between cabinets) Allows one fiber link to drive 2 cabinets with 3:1 blocking, (but when has 3:1 ever been an issue?) Therefore 1 link = 2 cabinets = 384 lines; 2 links = 4 cabinets = 768 lines, + 1 more link and 1 more per node and you're there. Requires two Dual FIM modules on the 3300 and there I would suggest the MXe Expanded platform with the separate E2T processor since it will provide you with 128 E2T channels, not that you'll need them, assuming you'll run TDM trunks. Still hard to believe in 2009 that anyone is installing 880 analog phone sets w/MWI

Do some reading in the Tech Handbook about expanded peripherals.

Each Cabinet will support 192 Ports (12 cards of 16 ports each)

The 3300 MXe has a Max of 6 not 7 Peripheral Nodes(192*6 = 1152)

I suspect you are confused with the SX200 that has a Max of 7 Cabinets of 96 each or 672 ports

From the Engineering Guidelines said:
ONS and DNIC devices. The number of ONS lines can be increased to 1200 (6 peripheral cabinets) using Flexible Dimensioning, or double that with extended peripheral cabinets.
The number of peripheral cabinets may be doubled by using an expanded peripheral cabinet (6+6 expanded), but this will only increase the line size and does not increase the traffic capacity.
