Mitel 3300 ICP.. trying to get a Printer to work off the pc port of a 5320 IP phone but diff subnets

I called in an issue to Mitel and the first tech I got on the phone and he said right out of the gate it would work... that the phone would have to be hooked upto a trunk port on the data switch and tagged for vlan voice and the data untagged.

Well the customer didnt get back to me in time and they closed the ticket.

I opened up another one and this guy tells me it does not work on diff subnets !!!

Does anyone know about this at all?

If you have vlans setup correctly, you should be able to have a printer plugged into the phone operating on the data subnet

Plug a PC/Laptop into the back of the phone and statically assign it to the same values that you want for the printer.

Perform network tests from laptop
