Hi,

I have a Mitel 3300 with 5220 IP phones. My vendor is pretty much clueless with setting up a system so I'm pretty much on my own.

I'm trying to get hunt groups working for use with the auto-attendant. (press 1 for sales, 2 for support etc.)

I have a the voicemail boxes working and it rings the first number in the hunt group, but the if the person does not answer, it never hunts to the next phone in the hunt group. The hunt group is a terminal group type and not circular as I need it to start at the first person in the hunt group each time.

It would seem to me that I need to setup Busy/No answer forwarding on the hunt group. But there does not seem to be an option to do that.

Thanks for your help!

What happens if you call the hunt group directly? Do you just get a busy tone? What happens when this occurs routing through voicemail? Are you using the embedded voicemail or an external one?

Hi Mitelman,

Yes we are using the embeded voicemail. When you call the hunt group directy it rings the first person in the hunt group list, even when they are on the phone. (multi-call is set up on the phones) Then if they don't answer it goes to voicemail.

I think the hunt group also has a voicemail box setup on it besides the single digit voicemail boxes.

Thanks for your help!

I think the multicall might be your problem, as the set is not busy then. Try removing the multicall and see what happens. When you say it goes to voicmail if they don't answer is that to the personal one or to the hunt mbx? I don't have my edocs at home so I can't check that right now.

It goes to the hunt mbx. I'll try removing the multi-call and see what happens. I hope removing the multi-call does not hinder conferencing, as they use that a lot too.

Thanks!

We are currently running v4.0.52. I'm trying to get my vendor out to upgrade us.... but as I mentioned before, they know less then I do about this system!
