Hi can someone help me with my mitel 3100icp problem? I am new to mitel systems. If an ouside call comes into the system I recieve both way speech but if I dial out on an analouge line which is all I have in the system I only have speech from the the party I have called and i can hear dtmf tone from both parties. All internal calls are fine. I have tried looping an analouge extn to a line and get the exact same problem

sounds like a supervision problem to me
I think there is an option in the co trunk circuit descriptor form 'fake answer supervision' this and other supervision parameters may need to be changed
Try the help from memory it is context sensitive like the 3300

I have looked everywhere in the system for changes and I could find nothing. I have two systems at home that I rought off the same company and they were installed in buisnesses before I brought them. I have defaulted the software plus the database back to the systems original by doing the config and reset button process. This has not fixed the problem. The only thing I am having trouble with is the voice on out going calls. If someone calls me the calls work perfect. All internal call work perfect. I also have trouble with telnet on these systems what is the best program to use and what the setup parameters are?

thanks Supernova99 for your thought is there any other suggestion you can think of for the 3100?

What country have you set the system in?
There are some default databases for different countries and normally this is all that is required to get the system working out of the box.
There are a few settings in the Line Protocol form to adjust to match the trunks you are using. The biggest challenge with a VoIP switch is trying to get it to work with legacy technology so you may have to play with the protocol settings until you find something that works.
You might need to use SSH Telnet to access the system I have added a link below

Its been a while since I worked on a 3100 however I recall something about analogue line issues try changing the line protocol to disconnect clear, and enable reverse polarity detection - or vice versa.

I have fix the problem. I went back through the Analogue Configuration again i had done this multiple time and it just started working the exact samething that I had been putting in. The combination that worked.
Line Protocol: unguarded clear
Reverse Polarity Detection: disabled

Thank you for your help
