I have a mitel 3000 that the lamp wont go off on main ext. (20) I checked the system vm box also and there is no messages in there. Is there another box on this system like a group box? I ran into this last year and got it fixed. My company redid our email and I lost my notes on it. Thanks for your help.

Very likely to be a call back message. Go to maintenance commands and type locate feature extension 20. This will show what it is. You will need to set the class of service to call back erasure allowed to delete it.

for anyone wanting to know, along with a system mail box that i had shut off there is also a 0 mailbox. i logged into it and deleted the message and the lamp shut off. i still can't figure out how the caller got there, because i can't seem to duplicate it. but thats what it was. i am still looking on how to disable it.

I think the Ext. 100 also uses box 180. It needs to stay setup in programming.
Usually user has to check 2 mailboxes, Ext 100 and 180, unless you can default Ext. 100 to mailbox 180

You can also assign a system mailbox (mailbox 0) to individual trunks, check that it has not been enabled against the trunk in the 'lines settings' menu, under the 'lines' main heading. This is the case for the UK version, but I think for other parts of the World it could be different...
