Hi All,

A few years back we had a phone system installed using the HiPath 5000. Over the years there has been a need to change extention names etc so we have tried to reinstall the software and connect through what we think is the master phone/extention to the system. When we installed the software we never selected National ISDN1 as per our very brief set up instructions we wrote down at the time the original hardware was set up. How do we go about changing this setting in the software? (I have tried uninstalling etc but cant select it when I set up again). Also, how do you go about knowing which extention is the master control extention, just incase we are plugged in to the wrong one?. At the moment I have the phone plugged into the extention line and also my PC running windows 7 if that helps?

Regards

Mark.

I can't answer the other questions, but you can download Revo Uninstaller and uninstall the software using that. The Pro version usually has a 30-day trial, so that should be more than enough to get the job done. I used that to do a hail mary program removal one time when I screwed something up on a brand new application server and the Siemens Tech tried everything and was going to charge me to wipe the system and rebuild it because we couldn't get the software all the way removed so we could re-install it. That fixed the problem and saved me about $4 grand!

(Note: NEVER rename a server after a database has been built on it!) :)
