Missing surname on report 1

Hello all

I have a report containing parent and child records from two tables.

For some unknown reason, when the report shows the first same surname of several (please see image below), subsequent same surnames do not appear. I have tried all sorts of settings on the report and cannot establish why this is happening.

I have air brushed out the names for obvious reasons but they are ordered by surname.

What am I missing on the report?

Is it possible you have "Print repeated values" set to No?

Hi Jim

the repeated values are set to no but if you set them to yes, the surname does appear but it could show three times if that person is linked to three projects.

What I'm trying to achieve is one parent record showing surname , forename etc on one line that could have multiple projects associated.

No. The names missing in the example shown are ADAMS so if the one is showing so should the rest.

Print repeated values" is your problem. This is a common issue. Rather then putting just last_name in one field and first_name in a second put them both in one field on the report last_name+", "+first_name this resulting field will work correctly with the "Print repeated values" setting.
