Windows 2000
DB2/AIX64 8.2.1
odbc driver 8.01.03.132
Reportnet version 1.1 MR2

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

The problem is when creating a query subject based on a stored procedure. When prompted, I select stored procedure option that states "Execute a database stored procedure to build the query subject" However, the proper schema containing the required stored procedures does not show in the list after selecting a data source.

Stored procedures are kept in their own folder and not under each individual schema.

What has be done to date:

Framework manager see 49 of the schemas, expected to see 69.

Using DB2 Control Center you can see all schemas. You can also view all stored procedures in Control Center as well. These are all located in a folder under application objects\stored procedures. You can also pull up all stored procedures using another reporting tool (Crystal Reports) using the same odbc driver and userid/password with no problem. This can also be done with Winsql as well, so it’s not a security issue.

Was able to create a stored procedure under one of the schemas that was listed in FM. I could then select it from within FM and create a query subject. How do I get FM to all of the schemas? There is have a standard schema that we use of all stored procedures and have hundreds already written under this other schema.

The schema list in FM appears to be at random. The list is not is alpha order as it is in my DB2 tools. However, it is the same 49 schemas each time list is brought up in FM.

The schemas that are missing, do appear to be just store procedures.

Facts:
·All the schemas listed in FM are those in the tables, system tables and views in Winsql.
·None of the stored procedure schemas are listed in FM. Less they are created under schemas with tables, views and ect.
·Winsql has a hierarchy under the DSN of tables, system tables, views and procedures. All the stored procedures from the database are present within the procedures folder in Winsql.

Any ideals anyone?

Had a dummy table added to the schema where the stored procedures are used from and I am now able to see the stored procedures in FM. I was able to create a query subject.

Good workaround...
