What mail package is he using??
Is it a POP account or an Exchange Mailbox?
If its a pop account make sure his details are entered correctely in the account. Go to Tools->Accounts and check it in the Mail tab. Jay~

I have finally found the answer to the problem as to why Outlook drops the “ FROM “ field in messages, unfortunately according to Microsoft they are aware of the problem and at present there is no fix.
