My internet options only has 5 tabs, the security tab is missing. It was there at one time but has disappeared.
I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks!

Go the the two registry keys listed below in regedit.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]

Look for the following entry

SecurityTab

If it is there make sure the value is 0 (zero). If it is not there add it and make the value 0 (zero).

As a future note you can also change the value to 1 to hide the tab on purpose.

Any feed back is appreciated.

Check out the Group Policy, User Configuration/ Administrative Templates/ Windows Components/ Internet Explorer/ Internet Control Panel.

Disable the Security Page.

Removes the Security tab from the interface in the Internet Options dialog box.

If you enable this policy, it prevents users from seeing and changing settings for security zones, such as scripting, downloads, and user authentication.
