Missing RAID drive!

I have a Compaq Proliant ML350 server which has been running a single SCSI hard drive from the onboard controller. Now I've added a Compaq Smart Array 221 controller and 4 18-gigabyte drives on the controller, which I've played with in various configurations-currently, 3 drives in RAID-5 with 1 hot spare. I'm running Windows 2000 Server with all patches and updates, and both the server and RAID controller have the latest firmware.

My problem: Compaq diagnostics say everything's OK with the new RAID array (and reports 36 gigs of space, which is correct under the current configuration), and Win2K sees the RAID controller just fine, but there's no additional drive letter in Windows and I don't see any way to actually access the new space. I'm probably overlooking something absurdly obvious, but I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

If you havn't yet, you need to go into Disk Management and create a volume. Disk Management can be found by right-clicking My Computer, and choosing Manage. It's in the storage section. Marc Creviere

D'oh! Thanks, Marc! The first time I went to Disk Management, the array didn't show up due to a problem with the controller configuration; by the time that was straightened out, I'd been up nearly 24 hrs (bad idea!), and had it in my head that I'd already tried Disk Management SINCE correcting the configuration problem. But after your post (and some sleep), I went back, and sure enough, there it was. While I can't help feeling a bit foolish, I'm also relieved the matter is resolved, and MOST appreciative for your help.
