Win 2K server, Exchange 2000, XP and 2000 users.
In an effort to address event ID 2139, a TCP name conflict, I disabled the protocols "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" on one of the two NIC cards on my server. This, apparently, was a really bad idea, as basically everything stopped working.
So I reinstalled both protocols on that NIC and most of my server function has returned. My Exchange server, however, is nowhere to be found. Upon a little investigation, I see that the partition I was using for Exchange (M is missing in action.
I have two IDE disk drives in the server - an 80Gb and a 140Gb. Disk Manager recognizes the 8Gb and 72Gb partitions on teh 80Gb drive, and one 70Gb partition on the 140Gb drive...the other doesn't show up. I rescan disks and nothing.
So it recognized the drive, but not one of the partitions on it. How might I get that partition back?
