I cannot connect Access 2003 with an ODBC driver. I can use Excel and connect, but when I try to use Access, I go to Get External Date, then scroll down to ODBC() driver, when I click on it, nothing happens, no connection, no error message, nothing.... It just closes the screen and takes me back to the main page of Access.

Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Perhaps there is something wrong with the Access installation on the machine you are using. Can you try this same thing on another machine with Access 2003?

It works fine on other machines. It use to work fine on this machine. I have uninstalled Office 2003 and reinstalled but it is doing the same thing.

GOT IT!!!

The problem is Norton Anti-Virus 2006 and the Office Plug-In.

I disabled the Office application auto-protect and the connection is working fine.
