We have a word template that is used by multiple users. The template's macros seem to have stopped working on one user's computer while the others can still open the template with the macros popping up fine. The security settings for macros in word are set to low on the problem computer, and I can't think of any other reason why this user would not be able to see the macros. She used it find a couple of weeks ago fine and since then the only changes to her computer I can identify are security updates from Microsoft. Does anyone have any idea of what might be causing this problem? The computer in question is loaded with Word 2003 SP2

Since others are using the same file, then the file is OK. Try running the file on the failing machine with another user's login and see if it's a rights issue first. Also, while logged in as the non-functioning user, check you settings in Word and make sure that you enable notification of macro alerts. Perhaps it's being blocked and just not alerting you.

Are the various machines all running the same version of Word?

The machines are running the same version now, one did have SP3 and one SP2, but I updated the SP2 now and am now getting an error..

"the macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro security settings"

I can see the toolbar buttons for the macros, but that is the message that is received after selecting one of the buttons. The security settings have been placed at low to allow all macros to run and when browsing through the macros, it does not show the macros that should be in the document.
