missing folders in the middle of burning dvd crashed

Hi everyone,

Have G5 2.0 OSX 10.3 panther. Can someone help me out here, dragged some folders for burning, and in the middle of burning the mac frost up and have to be restarted. After rebooting, all the folders are missing from desktop and the dvd's still blank, anyone advise where those folders are stored?
