Last week we connected to our Symposium 4.2 Sybase database via Crystal Reports 8.5. When connected to the data source there was a table named: blue.dbo.agent. However when we connected yesterday the blue.dbo.agent table is no longer there. This is the same on all three machines I've tested the connection on. Does anyone know what causes this and how to resolve it?

Have you tried Database > Verify Database?

Hi,
Is that table still there..Can it still be accessed by the user account you are using?
What has changed since the first time?

Thanks, I'll try both sugestions and get back with both of you.

Thanks Again,

Madawc - I tried database > verify database within Crystal and although the option was active in the drop down menu it did nothing when selecting.

Turkbear - I'm not sure what you are asking? The table is not there when connecting via Crystal. Is there some place else I should check for the table? Whare are the actual tables stored?

thank you again to both of you

Hi,
Ask whoever administers the database ( the DBA) about what changes have been made that could cause your problem..sounds like the table was removed, renamed or excluded from those you have rights to access..

It turned out the access class within Symposium had been changed to exclude blue.dbo.agent. I found this out when I created a new access class and migrated myself and the other users to it. Once migrated over to the new access class we were able to see blue.dbo.agent again.

Thanks to everyone for your assistance.
