I have just rebuilt my PC after a hard drive crash. I have reinstalled the current versions of Mercury and Pegasus. OS is Win XP professional with all the critical updates applied.
I have a subdomain. Mercury collects from my ISP emails addressed to anyname@mysubdomain. Mercury then assigns the mail to the relevant user mail box by looking at the value of anyname. The Mercury installation is set up to put anyname values it does not recognise into my own mailbox.
No filters have been set up in Mercury or Pegasus for spam etc.
Over the weekend I saw one specific email being collected on the Mercury screens. When I went into Pegasus it was not in my in-folder. Because I know from the Mercury screen exactly when the email was processed I can actually see it using Windows Explorer sitting in my mailbox. I can even open it in notepad and read it. It is an innocuous plain text email from a professional body to which I belong.
I have received a number of other emails which have all been processed correctly. So why might Pegasus not be showing this particular email?
