Missing Drill down facility in compiled report. 1

I have Crystal V 7.0 report that includes an embedded sub report. Drill down in the main report and the subreport work nicely in the original report design. However all drill down (including the sub report) is lost when the report is compiled / distributed)

Surely there is a method of compiling a report and retaining the original features.
