Please help, I cant figure out if this is a VMWare or Microsoft issue.

I have 2 servers running Windows 2003 on ESX2 with missing space on their virtual disks.

One of the servers has a 65GB virtual disk when you view the properties on the disk there is 800MB free but when you add up all the disk spaced used it only comes to 15GB so I am missing about 40GB

Any ideas anyone?

I have run chkdsk on the windows

What is your hardware configuration? Types of hard drives, RAID config, etc.

Sorry Just being thick! Found it......

Was roaming profiles, when you do the properties on the folder it shows 700MB however when you run ntbackup on the folder it showed all the contents.

As you said it must hide files.......
