missing dates and from field in Personal Folders

I am trying to archive my messages to a pst file in Outlook2000. I have the messages up in my outlook file cabinet, when I try to copy or move them to my personal folders the messages copy but they lose the from and date received information - except that the date received information is retained if the date was in 2001, otherwise it is lost. How can i retain this information and why is outlook throwing it out?

any help would be appreciated...
