missing data after export...

hi folks,

i run a script with a sql-query. when i browse the result, i can see 18000 records. after i use "Exort to file.xls XLS" there are only 16384 left.

any explanation for this strange behaviour?

Excel 2003 at least has a limit of approximatly 65,000 records.

The COPY TO... TYPE XL5 command creates a version 5 excel spreadsheet, capable of displaying only 16,384 records.
Excel 97 has a larger capacity

COPY TO... TYPE CSV

You can also update to VFP 8.0 - it's Excel limit was increased to 65,535 rows.
