I have just been upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. Now I am missing the comctl32.ocx file when I try to set my references in Access 2007. It is not in the C:\Windows|System32\ directory. Is this a file that has to be registered in some way by a system administrator? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Did you try C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

It may be worse thatn you know. Do you have VB6 installed on your machine? If not, technically you shouldn't be using MSCOMCTL.OCX as it is only licensed to VB6 licencees

Thanks strongm, pointing to that file in that location seemed to do th trick.

I think you meant to thank PHV, rather than me. My comment still stands ...
