Missing brush selections 1

For PC. When using the "eraser" tool about half of my "brush" choices are no longer available. Do I have a command on that is blocking them? Does anyone have any idea what has happened?

have you tried resetting your preferences to factory settings?

While Holding down the CTRL + Alt + Shift keys, start PShop

Answer the question to delete the preferences file YES

PS will rebuild the pref file to be as it was on delivery.

I tried your suggestons but only got a dialogue box for "properites" and could not find anything for "preferences". Any other suggestions?

I found it in the brush preferences dialogue box under "reset brushes". Your answer gave me an idea of what to look for.
