I have about 5 users that answer each other's phones (7960s) via shared line appearances. How do you stop missed calls from shared line appearances from leaving entries in another user's missed calls directory menu?

BuckWeet is right, that's been a sore spot with me since day one with our system (October 2001). There's no way to distinguish missed calls for the primary lines and missed calls for the secondary lines; they all get lumped into one directory. I don't think there are any plans on changing that, either...

If the users are close to each other, use a CallPickup Group to lessen this problem. If they aren't close, you're stuck.

Thanks guys. I figured as much. I mentioned pickup groups but it turns out these user are just nosey. They want to be able to see how long an empoyee is on the phone but don't want that person's calls in their directory menus.

You need to get and acd system like IPC if you want to see duration and other data regarding agents.

Stay cool; it’s not over yet!

I would suggest a good book for the nosey users. Give them something productive to do. Give them a tech manual to read and they'll at least get some sleep while they're at it!!!
