We use an Avaya Definity IP phone system on (mainly) 4620 phones. The call logging system for missed calls is very helpful and works well especially for external calls where redialling is not a problem. However, for internal calls it is as it puts a 9 in front of the internal extension as per external calls when calling back. Our installers say that's just the way it is which I cannot believe. Surely, there is a way of getting round this problem???

Thanks for any help.

Jim

You need to edit the 46xxsettings file that is on your TFTP server. Under enhanced local dialling rules enter/change this entry:

SET PHNDPLENGTH x (where x is the length of internal extensions). You will need to reboot the phones in order for the settings file to be updated on the phone.
