I have a customer that wants to have a prefix of 0 for an outside line on IPO (Australia). That's fine, but we then have to put the 0 in the directory for speed dialing. This then has the effect of not recognizing the inbound numbers and matching them to the directory numbers/names. Is there a way round this.

Check the "prefix" options in your trunk
correctly setting these should resolve your alpha tagging issue.

Thanks IPGuru,

That doesn't work, but we are looking at another option.

The prefix is ignored

Set the prefix in trunks for
Prefix 0
National 00
International 0 00

In uk the 0 would be 9
9
90
900
