Hello all,
I am trying out SCE for the first time on a single SBS 2003 server. The installer tells me that I cannot install because my default website has a self signed SSL certificate, which of coarse, is normal for SBS. It says I have to either disable SSL on the default site, or use a purchased certificate. Neither of these choices are acceptable to me.

I do not understand why SCE would have a problem with a self signed certificate. Anybody have another work around?

which of coarse, is normal for SBS
only normal for those who don't opt for a commercial cert. Since they're only $20 per year, and alleviate some administrative heartache and end-user issues, it makes sense to go the commercial route.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

A valid point. Where are you getting a cert for $20/year? Versign wants $650/year for their cheapest one.
