Misplaced Corel Paint Shop Pro CD:

In early February I bought/installed/registered a copy of Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate – and it’s been working fine ever since.

Alas #1, my Vista Business operating system is acting up and may need to be reinstalled, which = total backup plus reinstallation of all software.

Alas #2 – I misplaced the Paint Shop program CD and would like to obtain a replacement -- short of buying a entire new software package. What are my options here please?

Thanks.

If you have the CD Key, you can probably just download a copy and use that with your key.

Alternatively, sometimes PSP will keep a folder with the installation files in the Program directory. (C:\Program Files\Corel\Paint Shop Pro [red][no][/red]\[blue]Setup Files[/blue])
You could burn that to a CD and use it to install it again later.

Note this is a special folder not the application folder. It contains the setup files used to install Paint Shop Pro.

Its not always there, but sometimes it may exist.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thanks for your suggestions. I checked up C:\Programs and didn't find anything specific to my needs.

I'm currently in touch with Corel so I'll see how that plays out.

Thanks for trying.
