Created a user's report per specs with Wizard. Now they want to add data from another table. Thought it would be simple, but the new table key is a number in a STRING field while the original linked key is NUMERIC! When I tried to link, it gave "DATA TYPES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE".
How can I SWITCH from Wizard to an SQL format in order to use the ToNumber function?
THANKS SO MUCH!

You could either add the table in a subreport where you link the main report to the subreport using a formula to convert the datatype, or you could use a command as your datasource for the report, by going to database expert->add command (above the tables list) and create the SQL query directly so you can convert the datatype in the linking statement. You could start by going to the current report->database->show SQL query and copy that and paste it into a command for a new report and then manually add the table and linking in the new command.
