I've just configured a new ATL into our Netbackup environment (Datacentre 3.41 - NT/W2K), but having a little troube with the drives. The ATL has 6 drives in it, but only the first 2 and the last 2 are working properly. When a tape is put into either drive 3 or 4, the tape will load but then go 'DOWN', it then tries another tape in another drive and works fine (drives 1, 2, 5 & 6).

When using 'robtest', I can move the tape into drive 3, but if I use the 'unload d3' command I get a 'No media in drive' error. If i use 'unload d4' though, it looks like the command works fine, then I can move the tape using 'm d3 s2'

Note: drives themselves seem to be okay.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Change your drives 3 and 4 around. Make the \\.\tape# of drive 3 drive 4 and the same for other.

Switch the cables around as your drive mappings are not correct.
