Misc Cash Receipt in ACCPAC 1

How do you post misc cash receipts which is not customer related?

Do you need to create up as a customer?

What I do right now is to enter in the Bank Transactions>post entries and debit the amount. This is just in effect a journal entry. I am sure there must be another way to do it.

No, there is not.

So, I guess I just have to set up as a one time customer, then record payment/cash receipt?

Sure, create a customer named "CASH".

In 5.5 you can enter a Misc. Receipt without a customer number. You have to enter a tax group but it can be done.

DjangMan, you're right for as long as a tax group is defined, then the misc cash receipt can be posted without associating to any vendor.
